Dr. David Eldridge

Dr David Eldridge is senior Lecturer in American Studies at the University of Hull in the United Kingdom. He specialises in 20th century American culture, in particular Hollywood cinema, and has written major works on Hollywood's construction of history. His newest book will be published in 2022, examining the impact of censorship on the way Hollywood represents the past. He talked to Eteria Filon about biopics and his focus on uncovering the 'alternative history' of Hollywood movies that were never produced – the Hollywood that never was.
